How do I set up Zoho email on my computer or smartphone?

To set up email on your computer or smartphone, there are two options. We highly recommend IMAP, but POP is available.

IMAP Setup

Incoming Server Settings

Incoming Server Name: imappro.zoho.com
Port: 993
Require SSL: Yes
Username: you@yourdomain.com (full email address)

Outgoing Server Settings:

Outgoing Server Name: smtp.zoho.com
Port: 465 with SSL or
Port: 587 with TLS
Require Authentication: Yes
Username:  you@yourdomain.com (full email address)
Email Address: you@yourdomain.com.
Password: Enter your Zoho account password.  (You might require an Application-specific Password if Two-factor Authentication is enabled).

POP Setup

Incoming Server Settings

Incoming Server Name: poppro.zoho.com
Port: 995
Require SSL: Yes
Username: you@yourdomain.com (full email address)

Outgoing Server Settings:

Outgoing Server Name: smtp.zoho.com
Port: 465 with SSL or
Port: 587 with TLS
Require Authentication: Yes
Username:  you@yourdomain.com (full email address)
Email Address: you@yourdomain.com.
Password: Enter your Zoho account password.  (You might require an Application-specific Password if Two-factor Authentication is enabled).

Notes:

  1. IMAP email access coordinates between the server and your mail application. Messages that have been read/deleted/replied to will show up as such, both on the server and in the mail application.
  2. POP3 does not coordinate with the server. Messages marked as read/deleted/replied to in the mail application will not show up as such on the server. This means that future mail downloads with POP3 will show all messages as unread.
  3. Outgoing mail is sent using SMTP.
  4. We recommend using POP3 over SSL/TLS or IMAP over SSL/TLS since they provide increased security for your interactions with the remote mail server.
